The cause of death: the death was caused by strangulation.
The murder weapon: The nature of the injury suggests strangulation with a scarf. After the murder, the victim's body was dumped in the water.
Additional: The autopsy also revealed a small amount of tumor in the throat, which could not have been caused by strangulation.The duty medical examiner, Molly Hooper.
