Mr./Mrs. Brown
TALITHA RICE'S PRODUCER

Your success is directly tied to Talitha Rice. About two years ago, you poached this then rising star from her previous producer, Mr. Santerini. It was a big scandal, and Mr. Santerini still hates you both. But it was worth the trouble – Talitha turned out to be a good investment. Her popularity and your profits were increasing day by day. You even insured her life a couple of months ago, so that if the singer died (except for committing suicide), you would receive a one million dollar insurance premium.

Fletcher, the insurance investigator should know this in light of recent events. Your encounter with him is interesting. Three years ago, before you were able to lure Talitha to you, he had come to New York from Missouri to pursue a singing career. He was a pretty good singer, but you had to turn him down. You said he had talent and if he had started earlier he would have had a great chance, but it was too late for him. He was very upset at the time.

Now he had given up his dreams of a music career and had a relatively good job in New York in an insurance company.

Talitha had met you the day before she died and gave you a promissory note from Mr. Cruz, a friend of hers. Cruz has to pay back the $10,000, that Talitha loaned him, by tomorrow. The singer has lent the money to Cruz many times, and has never been in a hurry to pay it back. But this time, she said very abruptly that she wanted to get that money from Cruz right on time, and asked you to start formal collection proceedings if Cruz was late in repaying it. This surprised you, because Talitha, despite throwing money around, was not poor. Her one piece of jewelry, “The Abyss of Love” necklace, was worth a fortune. The necklace had been given to her by Santerini when he was still Talitha's producer.

The next day, the night of her death, around 12:45 a.m., she called you. Talitha was upset and very disturbed. You tried to find out what had happened, to calm her down, but she only kept saying that she had only asked him once to return the money on time, and he refused. The girl wanted to stop by your house that night and asked you to be home.

Your house is near the embankment where Talitha's body was found. That night you never waited for the feisty girl you cared so much about. She didn't answer the phone either - out of range... To calm your soul, you wandered a little along the promenade and the neighborhood, but you never met her. At three o'clock in the morning you had to go back home, worrying if something had happened to her. And in the morning, your worst fears were confirmed.

Your goals:
- To challenge the suicide theory.
- To find the person responsible for Talitha Rice's death.
- Not to let your reputation be damaged by a murder charge.
