On Christmas Eve, the grand Vanderbilt family gathers at their hillside mansion. The house is alive with chatter, music, and the clinking of glasses over dinner. In the midst of the merriment, the head of the family — a renowned businessman and owner of an immense fortune — makes a shocking announcement: he has once again changed his will. The news doesn’t sit well with everyone.
The following morning brings grim tidings. The patriarch has “accidentally” fallen down the stairs — so “accidentally,” in fact, that instead of wrapping presents, many are now mentally dividing the inheritance.
As the local police and a team of investigators make their way to the scene, the family gathers in the living room. They must piece together what happened — and decide how to explain it to the authorities — all while confronting the skeletons rattling in their own closets.
