Mr./Miss Hope
Police Inspector

The investigation into Miss Rice's death has reached a dead end. The most likely cause of death is suicide, but murder cannot be ruled out. The inquest has established the following facts: Talitha Rice's death occurred between midnight and 3 a.m. Talitha's will was made in favor of her boyfriend Harris. On the night of her death, the singer was wearing an expensive “The Abyss of Love” necklace, but it was not found on her body.

The singer's death has caused quite a sensation and needs to be solved. You have gathered here all those involved in the case, and you intend to talk to them informally.

Everyone here has no alibi for Talitha's death. So they all had the opportunity to kill her, if it was a murder. You need to determine if anyone had a motive to kill Ms. Rice or drive her to suicide. You also need to gather information and evidence for the prosecution to arrest one of the people present at the end of the meeting.

Whether this is a murder charge or a suicide charge is for you to find out. Try to find out how these people really feel about each other, what is their connection to Talitha, and what happened that night.

You can start with Cooper the cab driver, for example. Ask him how was Talitha Rice when he saw her? What was she talking about?

Your goals:
- To get everyone present to voluntarily give formal testimony, and maybe even a clean confession to the crime in the final game.
- To find out if there was a murder, and if so, who the murderer was, and arrest him/her in the final game.
- To discover the fate of "The Abyss of Love" necklace

You have an item with you:
“TALITHA RICE'S WILL.”
This is the original will of Talitha Rice.
It's properly filed and probated. According to this document, all property owned by Miss Rice passes to Mr. Harris upon her death. The will was signed five months ago.
You can tell the other players about the item, or you can keep the information private.

When it is your turn to introduce yourself to the others, say the following:
“AN OPENING SPEECH.”
“Greetings. My name is Mr. Hope, I am the inspector in charge of the case of the death of Miss Talitha Rice. Ms. Rice is dead, her body was found in the river near the bridge. We have a theory of suicide, but we also know that the death of Talitha Rice was beneficial to many for one reason or another. In the course of my investigation, I learned that none of you had an alibi for the time of her death. That interested me, and I invited you in for a frank discussion. What you have not previously thought it necessary to disclose may be of great importance at this time. I remind you that this conversation is off the record, but all my demands are those of a police officer. Failure to comply with them will be a matter of law. Thank you for listening to me, now let's try to find out the truth.”

When the time allotted for the investigation is over (after 1 hour), say the following below.
“A CLOSING SPEECH”.
“The time allotted for this informal conversations is over. Our meeting has helped me to draw certain conclusions. To reinforce them, I ask everyone gathered to make a formal statement to the police. Remember that anything you say now can be used against you in a court of law. The statement can be used for testimony and even a plea deal that will be credited by the court at sentencing. Failure to make any official statement can lead to charges against you for obstructing the investigation. My decision on whether to charge any of you will be announced at the very end. But before that, I want to hear from all of you present, one at a time.
